Politician Amar Singh and megastar Amitabh Bachchan once shared an extremely close bond. While the former was often referred to as the Bollywood star’s “right-hand man” in the past, it seems like their relationship has taken a sour turn. Big B and his wife Jaya Bachchan no longer seem to be in the good books of Amar and vice versa, with the latter making headlines for his blatant dig at the film family. Amar recently shared a video on his Facebook page, slamming the power couple. Not only this but he also dragged Amitabh’s son and daughter-in-law, actors Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, into the personal tussle.
In the video, Amar starts off with saying, "There is a strange atmosphere in the country. Yesterday, my old partner (Jaya Bachchan) in the Rajya Sabha who is no longer a partner, spoke with great anguish about women." He continued, "She was saying that one can't stop the technical movement. If you come across pornography on TV then you have the remote in your hand, which you can press to switch the channel and everything will be fine."
Amar added that Jaya also has a daughter, Shweta Bachchan and being a “wife” and a “mother”, she should stop her husband Amitabh from doing obscene songs like Jumma Chumma De De, which see him drenched in rain alongside other female actresses. Just when everyone thought, this was enough to make the Bachchan’s furious, Amar headed for another jibe at them. The politician went ahead and asked Jaya Bachchan to tell her daughter-in-law Aishwarya to not to do romantic scenes like she has done in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Ranbir Kapoor. And in the same way as Aishwarya, Abhishek also got caught into Amar’s ranting. The politician once again called out Jaya for allowing her son to star in films like Dhoom, which shows actresses in vulgar and lewd dressing.
