Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana has garnered a huge fan following for himself. In a short amount of time, he has given hits after hits, his last one being Dream Girl. Even his debut film, Vicky Donor back in 2012 became a huge commercial success and it seems like there is no stopping to the actor. With a fruitful career so far and being one of the finest actors of the industry, Ayushmann has a number of films and his latest release Bala, seems to be making big numbers at the box office ever since it hit screens yesterday.

Ayushmann's Bala opened to a whopping INR 10.15 crore on Friday, marking the actor's biggest opening till date and beating Dream Girl's INR 10.05 crore. Speaking about the grand opening of his film, he said, "With Bala, we are sending out some really strong and powerful social messages in the most entertaining manner possible and I'm delighted that the film has instantly connected with audiences on day one. I only hope that the film entertains the whole of India because only this way we will be able to communicate everything that Bala is trying to say and spark a thought shift. I'm really happy with the love and adulation that our film is getting."

The actor then also credited the rest of the Bala team. He concluded, "I share this moment with my director, the supremely talented and intelligent Amar Kaushik, my producer Dinesh Vijan, my two leading ladies who really gave Bala a run for his money - Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam, all the other fantastic cast members and the entire team of the film that believed in the vision and worked tirelessly to achieve it." Bala revolves around the story of a middle-aged man suffering from premature balding. The film also touches up on the society's obsession with fair skin and was released yesterday across the worldwide.
