As of now, Ayushmann is occupied with the advancements of the aforementioned movie. However, when the trailer was dropped on the web, the it got blended reaction from the crowds.
It is pertinent to note that Article 15 handles the issues of segregation and discussing the equivalent. “Our country is a unique one because we have all kinds of people and we are very sensitive towards ourselves. We are proud of ourselves, of our communities,” Ayushman said.
“But after they watch the film, (they'll realise) there's nothing offensive or maybe we have offended everyone because we haven't targeted any community,” he added while responding to criticism pertaining to the trailer. As should be obvious from the trailer of the film, Ayushmann assumes the job of a cop and the film manages cast-based segregation wherein two young ladies are assaulted for raising their voice because they belong to a specific cast.
“We are so depressed in our real lives that we need something to feel proud about. The appeal of this film is we should be proud of our country, but we can't be blindly proud of it. We need to better our nation,” said Ayushmann. Article 15 is set to hit the screens on June 28, 2019, and a couple of days back, the creators of the film released a furious rap which echoed the discrimination that exists in the society.
