Ayushmann Khurrana Heads to Varanasi for a Month for Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan Shoot
Ayushmann Khurrana, who is riding high on the success of Dream Girl, has now gone to Varanasi for a month to shoot for his upcoming film
Ayushmann Khurrana is currently being regarded as one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood, along with being the king of content-driven cinema, due to the huge success of his recent films, such as Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, Article 15, Dream Girl and various others. The National Award Winner is busy with his upcoming film titled Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, a spin-off of his romantic-drama film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), which was directed by R.S. Prasanna and also starred Bhumi Pednekar. The new movie has already gone on the floors in Mumbai and is being directed by debutante director Hitesh Kewalya and produced by Aanand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
As per the latest reports, Ayushmann will now be shooting in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, for a month. He has previously shot several movies, such Article 15, Dream Girl and Bareilly Ki Barfi, in the Indian state and reportedly enjoys the culture, music and food of UP.
His film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan explored the subject of erectile dysfunction. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is a comedy but also an LGBT love story, and revolves around a conservative and tradtional Indian family coming to terms with their son’s sexual orientation. The makers have roped in Jitendra Kumar (aka Jeetu Bhaiyya on social media) -- who has appeared in several hit web series and YouTube videos -- to star opposite Ayushmann Khurana. Apart from Jitendra Kumar, the film also features Ayushmann's Badhaai Ho co-stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in important roles, along with Pankhuri Awasthy, Manu Rishi Chadha, Sunita Rajwar, Maanvi Gagroo, and Neeraj Singh in supporting roles. A teaser of the film was released in May 2019 and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is slated to hit the screens on 13th March 2020.
