Ayushmann Khurrana Feels This is What Consecutive Hits Can Do to an Actor

Ayushmann Khurrana has starred as the male lead in multiple films this year, ranging from Dream Girl to Article 15 and the upcoming Bala. He shared he loves taking risks!

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is undoubtedly on a roll. Having jumped the bandwagon of starring as the male lead in multiple films this year, ranging from Dream Girl to Article 15 and the upcoming Bala, his projects have fared well at the box office. His performances too have garnered critical as well as commercial acclaim. Soaring high in his ascent of glory, Ayushmann feels back-to-back hits make actors more fearless and confident, allowing them the freedom to take risks in their career. "I don't feel scared as such but I think when you deliver many successful films, the producers of your next film feel confident their film will get a better opening at the box office,” he said.

Ayushmann added, “I think after being a part of successful films, you become more fearless and more confident because you know that your past choices have been proven right. It tends you to take more risks.” The star was interacting with the media to promote Bala along with co-actor Yami Gautam in Mumbai.

Bala unravels the story of a man living in Kanpur who suffers from premature balding. The film's storyline centres on his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with balding. Talking about the audience response to the film's trailer, Ayushmann said, "I think today's audience is really smart. After watching the trailer of the film, they get to know which film is good and which is not, and accordingly go to the theatres. I am glad that the trailer of Bala has received good response and people will get to know how good the film is on November 7." Bala is directed by Amar Kaushik, who earlier made Stree and also features Yami Gautam, Bhumi Pednekar, Javed Jaffrey and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. The film releases on November 7.
