Avengers Endgame is breaking the box office records worldwide with its massive numbers
Avengers: Endgame starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Josh Brolin and Paul Rudd among other cast members has broken box office records across the world and continues to make history.
The film is the final part in the Avengers series, which has been an over decade long experience for fans. From Iron Man, which released in 2008, the film franchise has followed eleven years’ worth of successful offshoots and crossovers. Avengers: Endgame brings together various characters and is the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War in which the evil Thanos destroys half the world's population by snapping his fingers. It also features Captain Marvel, a female superhero whose film was released on Women's Day 2019, thus beginning a new franchise.
A report in CNN mentions how the film has broken various records at the worldwide box office. It made an "estimated $1.2 billion" for its opening, according to Disney (DIS). "It is the only film in history to cross the $1 billion mark for its debut," says CNN. All of this happened within five days of its release.
In India, the film has also broken various records as well. According to Box Office India, "Avengers - Endgame had a historic weekend as it collected around 157 crore nett plus in its first weekend." The trade website also went on to explain how the film has "gone way past any Hindi film where the record is 119 crore nett in 3 days set by Sanju last year."
