Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame was rereleased with an extended footage and is finally on the verge of beating Avatar’s box office records which is regarded as the highest grossing films of all times. It is pertinent to mention that Avengers: Endgame has managed to earn up to $2.780 billion in the worldwide box office whereas Avatar ended its run with $2.788 billion. The aforementioned statistics clearly depict that Avengers: Endgame is merely $7.16 million behind Avatar that is considered one of the best projects by James Cameron.
Reports surfacing online indicated that Avengers: Endgame was rereleased to promote Spider-Man: Far from Home apart from aiming to beat the box office records held by Avatar. The new footage that has been added to Avengers: Endgame totaled up to six minutes of additional time in order to lure in fans through the hype created on social media. It was played in cinemas weeks before the remake of the 1994 animated classic Lion King. A few movie experts have been assuming and speculating that The Lion King remake has a chance to beat Avatar at the worldwide ticket sales but that may be regarded as mere conjecture.
Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Endgame which began with Iron Man in 2008 finally wrapped up the 22-film infinity saga this year with the marvel cinematic universe.
