Article 15 Movie: Review, Cast, Story, Reaction, Box Office Report of Ayushmann Khurrana's Action Thriller
Article 15 is a film starring Ayushmann Khurrana which is directed by Anubhav Sinha who also directed Mulk. Here we'll be looking at its review, its cast, the story, how people are reacting/reviewing the film
Article 15 is upcoming film about casteism in India which is directed by Anubhav Sinha. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana as a police officer who is investigating the brutal murders of Dalit girls and it is apparently based on a real story. The United Nations had even issued a statement about the murders as well as a water cannon was used on protestors in Lucknow who were protesting against the murders. Anubhav Sinha's film 'Mulk' last year was also about the stereotyping of Muslims and Sinha aims to bring social awareness through his projects.
Ayushmann Khurrana, one of Bollywood's leading men, has always been known to take up projects that are 'different' from the kind of work everyone else is doing. And perhaps this is the reason why he has begun to get critical acclaim from audiences and his films also do well at the Box Office. His debut film Vicky Donor was a critical and commercial hit and his recent film Andhadhun starring Radhika Apte and Tabu was not just a domestic success but an international hit too. The film earned 300 crores in China already.
Article 15 was recently released and viewers have nothing less than excellence in expectations from Khurrana's new flick as reviews have already started pouring in from all over the world.
Article 15 stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Ayan, Muhammad Zeeshan Ayyub as Nishad, Rojini Chakraborty as Dr. Malti Ram and Kumud Mishra as Jadav. The film is written by Gaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha and is directed by Anubhav Sinha as well.
The story of Article 15 is based on the 2014 gang rapes and murder of two teenage girls in Budaun district, UP. The case was reported on widely and the CBI had concluded that there were no rapes and the suspects were released. However, a year later, the closure report was rejected and later it was found out that the girls were indeed raped and murdered by the suspects.
Social Media is abuzz with positive reviews of Ayushmann Khurrana's action thriller and this is what the users are saying.
Actors like Swara Bhasker and Maniesh Paul also tweeted positive reviews, while Ayushmaan shared a small video with the ratings for the film.

Trade Analyst Girish Johar has weighed in on the Box Office Collection Prediction for the film and has suggested that Ayushmann is coming after the "success of Badhaai Ho and Andhadhun" and that "Anubhav Sinha also delivered a hit with Mulk". Johar says that the trailer was "hard hitting and is nailing the issues which we as a country are brushing under the carpet. Now, it remains to be seen how the audience will take it but to me, it looks quite interesting.” He suggests that the film is looking at 5 crores on day 1. This is a developing story and will be updated accordingly.
