Actor Arjun Kapoor may not have been in the entertainment industry for too long but he surely knows a lot thanks to most of his family members including father Boney Kapoor’s prominent presence in Bollywood. The star kid, who already holds a number of hit films to his credit, recently revealed what kind of stories drive audiences to cinema houses in India. According to the Ki & Ka star, Indo-Pak police chase stories have been the trending theme in Bollywood films of the recent past. He cited movies such as Raazi, Uri and Baby among many others, which have done extremely well at the box office.
Arjun, who was last seen on screen in the movie India's Most Wanted, feels such tales defining the heroes of India make for fascinating storytelling. "There were so many stories that we may have felt apprehensive about putting out there. Importantly, it is about the relevance of the story. If the audience wants to watch relevant stuff, they have given us indicators with Raazi, Uri and other films over the last few years," Arjun said.
He added that the audience is curious to know about their own country. "They want to know how India became India. They want to watch stories that define the real heroes of India. It makes for fascinating storytelling. We have looked at western civilizations for hints and links and what to do next. For once, our audience is providing clues about what we should focus on," stated Arjun. He is currently working on his next film titled Panipat, which also stars Kriti Sanon. On the personal front, Arjun has been in the news for his budding romance with actor Malaika Arora. He recently confessed that the Kapoor clan has approved of the starlet and their relationship, mentioning his family has always supported his life decisions.
