Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Panipat, a period drama and fans can hardly wait to see him on screen. The film has become one of 2019’s most anticipated films and has created a buzz in the industry and in the media. As the film’s poster, music clips and trailer were released, fans have been commenting on how similar the film looks to Ranveer Singh’s Bajirao Mastani. From the sets to the costumes, anyone would say there is resemblance in the film setting.
In Panipat, Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing the Maratha warrior Sadashiv Rao Bhau while Ranveer played the role of Peshwa Bajirao. Arjun Kapoor was asked on many occasions if he took any advice or any notes from Ranveer Singh for the film, and in fact, he had some revelations to make. If you’re a true Bollywood fan, then you’ll know that Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor are besties and share a very special bond.
When asked about Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor said, “He (Ranveer) got very excited seeing the trailer and I am happy about that. Look we are friends, apart from being actors. We are not constantly discussing acting and character development. We do films of the same genres as actors but eventually, the stories of these films are different. We have always interacted at a friendly level and never went into deep discussion." Coming to think of it, Arjun Kapoor has a valid point.

He further went on to add "He would share pictures from 83 and I would share something from my shooting, and we would talk about it. But we never discussed beyond a point, as every director has a different vision for his or her film. If I ask him ‘tu hota to ye scene kaise karta’, then I might corrupt my thinking."
Panipat also co-stars Kriti Sanon, Mohnish Bahl, Sanjay Dutt, and Padmini Kolhapuri and is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film is slated for release on December 6 of this year.
