If it's excellent Argentinean cuisine you are craving, then look no further than La Parrilla! Tucked away on the 25th floor, this elegant award-winning restaurant gives off a great vibe from the moment you set foot into it. My date and I were led to our table which overlooked the breathtaking Burj Al Arab. The restaurant was bustling and we even managed to catch a performance of the tango dancers.
The menu was extensive and we needed some help deciding on our appetisers – everything sounded so delish! The staff was nothing short of warm, friendly and helpful as they guided us through the menu. We decided to whet our appetite with the braised oxtail empanadas and the truffle honey manchego cheese which was to-die-for! The pan seared foie gras with orange marmalade and chocolate and the grilled provelata cheese with cherry tomato confit and eggplant caviar were scrumptious and really hit the spot!
After wandering around the restaurant and admiring the stunning views from all corners, it was time for our mains. My date ordered the wagyu beef rib eye and I went with the tenderloin accompanied by steakhouse fries cooked to perfection along with dreamy creamy truffle mashed potatoes and a lip-smacking chimichurri dip for the steak. My date and I agreed that this was, without a doubt, one of best succulent steaks we have had in the city till date!
Dessert did not fail to impress either! The lovely Chef Marco prepared La Parrilla's signature dessert for us – forest of churros which were placed on twigs on a slab of dry ice and upon pouring water over the ice, a beautiful fog appeared emulating the mist seen in the Amazon! It was quite the sight! The dessert had three sinfully delicious dips – strawberry puree, coconut froth and dulce de leche cream and was very satisfying, indeed! La Parrilla offers the ultimate dining and entertainment experience and we can't wait to head back there very soon and try out Chef Marco's other specialities!
