Ananya Panday is set to make her debut in the upcoming film Student of the Year 2. With another debutante Tara Sutaria, Ananya will be paired with Tiger Shroff. The cast and crew of Student of the Year 2 were talking to the media as they launched the trailer and Ananya revealed some interesting facts. In her first media interaction before the release of her film, Ananya Pandey has said that she has braced herself to compete in Bollywood.

"I love competition and you can see that in the film. Competition is so much fun. It is very motivating having new people. The industry does need new talent all the time," she told reporters. Student of the Year 1 was the debut of all three actors, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. However Student of the Year 2 is the debut for just the main actresses, Ananya and Tara.

When reporters asked about her first thoughts on the world wide release of the trailer, she claimed that she is finding it hard to contain her excitement.

"I can't imagine I'm here. This day feels like a dream. This is very surreal. I am grateful to Karan Johar (producer) and Punit Malhotra (director). I am just too excited,” said the young star.

Karan Johar - on the other hand - has already requested the audience to not compare the two debutantes and treat them with love.

However, as per the trailer the unlike the first film, where two heroes contested for the attention of Alia Bhatt, this time on the contrary, two girls (Tara and Ananya) will compete for the attention of Tiger Shroff. Ananya is also set to appear next to Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar in the remake of the 70s film Pati Patni Aur Woh.
