Recently debuted Bollywood starlet Ananya Panday recently revealed that she has to gain weight up to at least 5kgs for an upcoming film which is a remake of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, reported a foreign media outlet. She will be starring opposite Kartik Aryan and Bhumi Pednekar. The 20-year old Ananya Panday has been asked to gain weight so that she can look older in the movie and meet the assigned role to her.
It is pertinent to mention that originally the aforementioned Hindi movie released in 1978. It was directed and produced by B.R. Chopra and starred Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha, Ranjeeta Kaur which turned into a cult classic throughout the years. The film is a funny interpretation of extra-marital affairs in the fundamentalist Indian culture. The remake will be Ananya Panday’s second film after Student of the Year 2 and she feels elated to be a part of it. Ananya Panday will assume the role of a secretary whose boss is dying to her to give some attention to him.
During an interview, the on-screen character referenced that putting on weight isn't to eat whatever you like, but to actually eat right. Sources familiar with the matter relayed that in order to put on weight she has been eating at regular intervals and has expanded her protein admission. “Mine is a different kind of struggle, as it’s difficult to gain weight. I am eating every two hours. The idea is to up the protein content. You want to gain the right kind of weight, so it’s not about eating anything you wish,” she was quoted as saying. She is considered as one of the most anticipated debutants in Bollywood,who made her first successful outing in Bollywood this year with Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year 2', starring alongside another debutant Tara Sutaria and lead actor Tiger Shroff.
