Ananya Panday and Her College Controversy
Ananya Panday's latest controversy is all about her attending college
Ananya Pandey is barely a film old in the industry and somehow has got in the middle of several controversies. The youngster found herself embroiled in a number of controversies, which were a part of Instagram stories, posted by an anonymous account claiming to be her former classmate. Ananya Panday, in one of her interviews said that she was supposed to go to USC to do her Masters, but she couldn’t do that as she signed ‘Student Of The Year’ and had to start shooting for it immediately.
However, the anonymous Instagram account pointed out saying that Ananya, never got admitted to USC as she always wanted to act and take a gap year. The account also said that Ananya didn’t even get assigned a counsellor. The account further divulged some personal details about the Student Of The Year star’s lives saying that she runs a fan club for Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son. The account also stated that Ananya dated Monisha Jaisingh’s son to get contacts in the film industry. The account further attacked her character by saying that Ananya moves from one guy to another and keeps cheating on the guys she dates. Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor’s name has also been dragged into the controversies. The account has revealed that most of Ananya got in through Le Ball, only because they approached Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan. The account further reports that Ananya’s vacations and expensive tastes are funded by Shah Rukh Khan. Ananya, who was a student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School has also been accused of bullying her classmates who didn’t have expensive cars or clothes.
However, the actress has now hit back at the detractors and put up an Instagram post showing her acceptance letter from USC. She has also written how people should not be bullying anyone.

I didn’t want to do this. I didn’t feel like I needed to explain myself to anyone, but the rumours that I faked my admission at USC have been doing the rounds for a while now. They've been getting out of hand, and it’s even more unfair and sad that my family and friends have to go through this. As I've stated earlier, I was accepted by Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC for a major in Communication in the Spring 2018 semester. But since I was shooting for my first film and the release date later got pushed, I had to request for a deferral (which means postponing my admission) twice - first to Fall 2018 and later to Fall 2019, both of which they gracefully agreed to do. In my case, I could only defer my admission two times so I will not be attending university (for now), since I’ve decided to pursue my career in acting. As for the people who have been trying to pull me down with these accusations, I would like to send you all lots of love, peace and positivity. And would also like to say that even though they’re claiming to be my classmates (nameless and faceless) - I'm sure they aren’t because I’ve grown up with the people I went to school with and they would never do something like that. It's never okay to bully anyone - creating fake conversations, stories and screenshots is very dangerous and can seriously damage people’s lives. So please be loving, positive and kind. (PS - my father’s real name is Suyash and I blurred out my address for security reasons)
This post shows how Ananya was indeed admitted to Annerling School of Communication and Journalism, but had to opt out due to her acting career. We really think, internet trolling and bullying is very dangerous and can affect someone’s physical and mental well-being. Not to forget how wrong it is to slut-shame women and assume that the only reason they made it to the top is due to their personal friendships and not on account of their talent. We hope, Ananya comes out as a winner in this controversy. On the work front, she will be next seen in the film, Pati Patni Aur Woh remake with Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar.
