Last week it was allegedly reported that Anurag Kashyap had to face some serious rejection. Anurag Kashyap is known for the fascinating roles and characters he develops and creates for his films. New girl on the Bollywood block who has become a sensation overnight, Ananya Panday used to exact, painful words: “Sorry, not available”. Recently, rumors are rampant in reporting that Kashyap had approached Ananya to partake in a new advertisement he is shooting for the chocolate brand Cadbury Perk.
Anurag evidently thought Ananya fits the role perfectly for Cadbury Perk. The teen sensation exudes youthfulness, mischievousness and fun which are mirror images of the brand! Based on this, it was an almost natural decision to choose and cast Ananya Panday as the new face of Cadbury Perk. In regards to the ‘Sorry, Not Available’ rejection, Anurag and Ananya were doing look tests prior to the final advert shoot. Supposedly, Kashyap wanted to do another test, and requested Ananya to report to set for an early morning shoot but, citing her yoga classes as the purpose for her unavailability the next day by saying “Sorry, not available”.
But knowing Anurag Kashyap and his relentlessness, the director did not take no for an answer, and without wasting any time sought Ananya’s permission to utilize footage from their rehearsals and prior shots. Using Ananya’s test look from the rehearsals and her phrase “Sorry, not available” Kashyap went on a creative spin and produced a hilarious and comical ad out of it. The final production resulted in a hilarious yet catchy ad that captivates Ananya in her quirky, fun, happy go lucky and positive attitude while at the same time focusing on the brand and its key elements.
