Akshay Kumar, his wife Twinkle and their daughter Nitara were all set to leave for England to meet and spend time with Aaarav, Akshay and Twinkle’s son, who studies in England. Unfortunately, the rains had other plans. Because of inclement weather, the flight never took off. Last heard, Akshay Kumar was trying to book himself and his family into the first flight out after the rains.
When it comes to the weather gods, all men are equal, even the mighty stars. Mumbai has been flooded in the last two days because of very heavy rains and from flights to trains, everything has been affected. Most Mumbaikars have been advised to stay at home leading to empty offices and film sets.

We hear that several actors including Kriti Sanon and Sonam Kapoor’s travel plans were affected severely because of incessant rains. But the one most affected was Padmavaat director Sanjay Leela Bhansali who was returning home to Mumbai after almost three weeks in the US. Homesick and unaware of what the weather gods had planned ahead for him, Bhansali’s flight from the US was diverted to Bengaluru where he had to cool his heels while the weather cleared up.
This week Mumbai recorded the highest rainfall in ten years crippling the city and flooding the most celebrated star-home in Mumbai, the Bachchans' residence Jalsa in the suburb of Juhu.
