Even at 76, megastar Amitabh Bachchan is at his peak. The actor manages to entice audiences time and again with every project that comes his way. He recently added the Rumi Jaffrey directorial ‘Chehre’ to his kitty. With the film’s shooting in full swing, Big B set a whopping record that sent his fans into frenzy. The ‘Paa’ actor gave a 14-minute long take at a stretch for the Emraan Hashmi-starrer, leaving the cast and crew stunned too. Many took to social media to laud his unmatchable talent with Oscar-winning sound artist Resul Pookutty being the first to do so.
Taking to social media, Resul wrote, “Today Amitabh Bachchan marked another history in Indian cinema. Last day, last shot of the first schedule of ‘Chehre’ and he performed a 14-minute long submission in one shot. The whole crew stood up and clapped! Dear Sir, undoubtedly you are one of the best in the world.”

Responding to his post, one of Amitabh’s fans commented, “An inspiration and role model of a rare kind and one in the world, Mr Bachchan.... and he persists on saying he is no great actor.. His learning never stops and I've learnt that from him.. Salute that learning and thought !!!! Good luck for #Chehre..”

And Big B didn’t take much time in thanking Resul. He tweeted, “Resul, you give me far too much credit than I deserve or am capable of.”

Adding to this, Indian film producer and distributor Anand Pandit said, “I believe I am blessed to be a part of a film that has this historic scene. Giving a 14-minute shot is not only difficult but requires the dedication of a different kind. And add to it the way Amit ji delivered it with finesse. There was pin-drop silence on the sets followed by thunderous applause. He is legendary and inspiration for each one of us.” With Rumi on the director’s seat, the film stars Emraan, Kriti Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav and Annu Kapoor as well. It is slated to release on February 21, 2020.
