Amitabh Bachchan finds himself in a strange controversy. The Bar Council of Delhi has issued a legal notice to the superstar for donning a lawyer’s attire in an advertisement. According to a report in The Statesman, the notices were served on the spice brand Everest Masala, YouTube as well as Amitabh Bachchan. The accusation: That due precautions were not taken to showcase the lawyer’s robe and hence, they were all liable for legal action for telecasting the advertisement without any authority.
The notice issued reads, “You are required to immediately stop all such advertisements and also give an undertaking to the Bar Council of Delhi, Bar Council of India and other states Bar Councils that the lawyers’ attire shall not be used in any advertisement in future.” They have also asked the respondents to give an undertaking in 10 days, failing which there will be action.
In the commercial, Big B can be seen sitting in his dressing room, wearing a lawyer’s suit, as two junior artistes enter and offer him an Indian savoury, pav bhaji. After eating the meal, the actor applauds the food and the spices used in making the dish.

This is not the first time that Big B has been at the receiving end of frivolous cases. In an earlier ad that he had done for Kalyan Jewellers, the Bankers Association had gotten upset about the poor portrayal of bankers in the ad. Eventually, the brand had to pull out the ad.
