Amitabh Bachchan pens appreciation poem to doctors
The Bollywood star is currently hoptialised with coronavirus
Actor Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital on Sunday after testing positive for COVID-19.
The 77 year-old, who is in a stable condition, took to his Twitter to share a gratitude poem for medical staff. He wrote, “Pristine white their layered dress; dedicated to serve they be; god like incarnations they; companions of the sufferer they; erased they their ego have; to us they have embraced in care; they be the divine destination; they fly the flags of humanity.”
Amitabh’s son Abhishek, daughter-in-law, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya also tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week. Abhishek was also admitted to Nanawati Hospital while Aishwarya and Aaradhya are quarantining at home.
Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Both father and son are responding well to treatment, “Both are stable and are responding well to the treatment. They will have to be in the hospital for at least seven days,” a spokesperson from the hospital told PTI.
Since the family’s diagnosis 26 members of their staff have been tested negative for the virus.
