The war between superstars Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun has just intensified. Their rapidly-deteriorating equation has taken a serious downslide now that Arjun has announced his film Ala Vaikunthapuramulo will clash with the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru for Makar Sankranti 2020. Mahesh Babu’s camp is incensed by what they see as a deliberate trespassing. Says a source in the know, “It was always meant to be Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru first on Sankranti. Right from their poster to all the publicity and marketing, the team of Mahesh Babu’s film had announced their Sankranti release on January 11.”
Apparently without taking anyone into confidence Allu Arjun has taken a decision to release Ala Vaikunthapuramulo on January 12.
Says the source, “Mahesh Babu’s team had discussed their release date, informed Allu Arjun that Mahesh’s film will come on 11 January and there was a mutual understanding that Allu Arjun should come with his film on January 14 so that there is no clash between the two big films. Without taking anyone into confidence Allu preponed, probably to put on a foolish show of strength with Mahesh Babu.”
Apparently Allu Arjun is determined to lock horns with Mahesh. Says the source, “Dil Raju the producer of Mahesh Babu’s film, met the producer S Radha Krishna of Allu Arjun’s film , not once but twice. Each time Radha assured Dil Raju that they will come three days after Mahesh Babu’s film. Now Radha says it’s not in his hands.” Apparently, Allu Arjun wants a headlong clash with Mahesh Babu to show who is bigger at the box-office. But the Telugu film industry is praying to see the catastrophic clash being averted.
