Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonaksha Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapoor are set to stun the audiences in their upcoming film ‘Kalank’. Whether or not the actual story of the film will live up to its hype remains to be seen but for now, what we can see from the teasers, posters and songs, Kalank looks like it’s going to be fantastic.
In the recent photos shared by Dharma Movies, Kalank’s story seems to appear intense and riveting. Here is what Dharma shared:

Earlier Dharma released two songs, one starring Alia Bhatt and the other starring Varun Dhawan. Alia appeared as Roop with a jugalbandi style song with Madhuri Dixit. The song was ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ where Alia danced as Madhuri watched.
The second song was ‘First Class’ which saw Varun Dhawan dancing in a pathani shalwar with kajal in his eyes. The song also featured Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapoor as we see them getting married and a tear falling from Alia Bhatt’s eyes. Intense!
Kalank will be released on April 18th and it is directed by Abhishek Varman. Kalank was a story that Yash Johar had imagined 15 years ago reportedly keeping Sridevi and Shah Rukh Khan in mind.
“Kalank has been an emotional journey for me," said Karan Johar to the media at the time of its announcement. "It is a gem of an idea that I had nearly 15 years ago and a film that was in a pre-production stage helmed by my father. I am now proud to pass it onto the extremely capable and visionary hands of director Abhishek Varman. Kalank has a beautifully structured story by Shibani Bathija and an exceptionally fluid narrative and screenplay by Abhishek.”
