Alia Bhatt is currently on every filmmaker’s wishlist. The young actress has been coveted by all the noted directors and producers due to her immense talent and hard work. She was recently acclaimed for the film Gully Boy in which she played an angry, possessive girlfriend to Ranveer Singh’s character ‘Murad’. Alia will soon be seen in Karan Johar’s magnum opus, Kalank, in which she will be paired opposite her frequent co-star Varun Dhawan.
Salman Khan will soon be seen in the upcoming film Bharat opposite Katrina Kaif but it was recently announced that he would also be returning on the big screen with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the upcoming film Inshallah.
Alia Bhatt was also announced in the cast and it made a lot of people raise their eyebrows since Alia is 26 years old and Salman Khan is 53. There is a 27 year age gap between the two stars and the Internet began floating pictures of Alia and Salman where Alia is merely a child and Salman Khan is a fully grown adult.
Alia recently spoke to a publication where she shed light on this topic. “Bhansali is a visionary. People are too quick to judge,” Alia said. “There is a plan in place, and a reason behind the unusual casting.”
About Salman, Alia said, “I am thrilled to be working with Salman. Even I never thought this combination is possible.”
She further said, “It will be an intriguing journey and Salman is genuinely warm and kind. They are a magical duo together and I am blessed to be in it.”
