Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar may have been in Indian cinema for as long as we can remember but he has only found unparalleled fame over the past few years. With a successful 2019 following hits such as Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz, he continues to set the bar high. The superstar already seems to be in for a promising 2020 with his much-awaited films Sooryavanshi, Laxmmi Bomb, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey & Belly Bottom already lined up for release in this year and early 2021. If recent reports are to be believed, Akshay has recently signed an Aanand L Rai project and will be charging a whopping fee for the same. Any guesses?
Akshay has reportedly asked for INR120 crore to come on board for the Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush-starrer. “Akshay Kumar is known to charge upfront fees and in today’s time, his name attracts the audience not just in the cinema hall but also gets lucrative offers from digital and satellite networks. Akshay and his team believe that the actor deserves 100 crores plus as acting fees for the goodwill that he brings to the project,” revealed an insider.
“Akshay’s market is going up with every passing film and hence he is not keen to package all of his upcoming projects together. He prefers selling films on an individual basis as it has been an upward graph for him as far as his career trend is concerned,” the source added. An official announcement about Aanand’s film is expected to come out in the next three weeks. Akshay’s Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 & Good Newwz earned INR153 crore, INR200.16 crore, INR206 crore and an expected INR205 crores, respectively. Hence, it comes as no surprise that the Akshay is flying high as he continues to create magic at the ticket windows.
