Akshay Kumar Looks Fierce in this New Poster of ‘Kesari’
Yet another patriotic Akshay Kumar film – this time he recreates the 1897 battle of Saragarhi
Akshay Kumar who has completed a number of patriotic films like Gold, Holiday and Airlift to name a few, will be next seen in an historic war film titled Kesari. A new poster of the film has just been released and the actor just looks just as fierce as a Sikh soldier who appears to be leading an entire gang of turbaned warriors. The actor appears nearly unrecognizable with a saffron turban and a long beard. Overall, the poster looks stirring and thrilling though the size of the turban does look a bit odd, to say the least.
Akshay shared the poster on his Twitter with the caption, “On #SaragarhiDay, here’s the first look of #KESARI - our humble tribute to the martyrs of Saragarhi! “Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari...Jobahega mera woh lahu bhi Kesari... Aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari.”
Akshay's first look in the film was released a few months back.
The film reportedly revolves around the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi during which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in the year 1897 while longing for the respect of his estranged daughter. It is directed by Anurag Singh and stars Akshay and Parineeti in lead roles. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions is the producer and it is expected to be released on March 19, 2019. That’s one more patriotic film in Akshay’s kitty!
