Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated actresses of Bollywood. The model turned actress was first named Miss World in 1994 and later starred in several Bollywood films, making a huge name for herself in a short amount of time. In 2007, the actress got married to Abhishek Bachchan and 4 years later, the two welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Aaradhya. And much like other star kids, their daughter is also constantly under media attention. She said that their daughter is upset about paparazzi constantly following the family around, but Aishwarya told her that that's how it's going to be.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Aishwarya revealed what she told Aaradhya about the paparazzi. She told her, "It's there. What can you do?" Shedding more light to the matter, the actress shared her two cents and explained, "Protect is the keyword, and it’s the natural instinct of every parent. There’s no getting away from this; it is who we are. And we’ll be like this, I like saying, till my last breath. Having said that, however much we would like to discuss it, it’s not going away. This is the way of our chosen life, this is part of our industry. With paparazzi, we can engage on a human level in requesting, some semblance of sanity around children. If they’re too loud, you can ask them to tone it down, because they’re not going to go away and we aren’t going to disappear from the face of the Earth."
Aishwarya added that with smartphones, it's even harder to avoid being spotted by the public eye. She concluded, "I think intruding on someone’s privacy was, and always will be, an uncomfortable situation. To play our part as parents, ever since Aaradhya was little, we have tried to keep things ‘real and normal’ for her. For us it’s probably weird because we have lived in a world where it wasn’t there. She’s born into a world where it’s only been there. Fortunately, I’m able to so far keep a twinkle in her eye."
