Taking a cue from Shah Rukh Khan and perhaps acting on his request, Salman Khan has decided to be the brand ambassador of Indian hockey too.
Sources say that it was Shah Rukh Khan who actually took the message to Salman Khan to consider promoting Indian hockey and Salman readily agreed.
The above facts were revealed as the news was officially confirmed that Salman Khan has decided to participate in the second phase of the inaugural function of Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
Salman took to Twitter and confirmed his presence at the function too. Here's the video that was tweeted:

Actors Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Shah Rukh Khan and music maestro A.R. Rahman on Tuesday performed at the opening ceremony, which took place at Bhubaneswar’s Kalinga Stadium.
Hindustan Times reports that during the world cup, a city fest will be organized from December 1 to 16. Musicians and singers, including Vishal and Shekhar, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Farhan Akhtar, Shaan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sona Mohapatra, Rituraj Mohanty, the Noorani Sisters and Krishna Beura, will also perform over the course of the festival.
