Adnan Sami Slams Pakistanis Once Again in Twitter Exchange! Here is What He Has To Say this Time
Adnan Sami has taken a jibe at Pakistanis in a Twitter post, calling them morally, intellectually and grammatically challenged. Read on for how it all started!
Singer-composer Adnan Sami recently came under fire when The Indian Appallate Tribunal for the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) recently imposed a penalty of INR5 million on Adnan Sami, according to The Hindu. The singer is being penalised for buying eight flats and five parking lots in Mumbai in 2003 while being a Pakistani national, without consent from the Reserve Bank of India. The singer’s long going struggle with settling in India seems to continue, regardless of his numerous attempts at clarifying his stance on national and international levels. Prior to this, he received ample flak for criticising Pakistanis for several reasons. Once again, Sami has taken a jibe at Pakistanis in a Twitter post, calling them morally, intellectually and grammatically challenged. It all started when Sami was asked a question by a user on the micro-blogging site.
Sami was asked why "most Pakistani people say ‘E’ndia instead of India and why Moodi instead of Modi.” To this, the musician replied, "Because they are grammatically, morally and intellectually challenged." In another tweet, Sami wrote, "And historically challenged too!"
This is not the first time Sami has said something against Pakistan. He is often trolled on his nationality. The singer, who was born in Britain and was earlier a Canadian citizen, is of Pakistani descent. In 2016, he was granted Indian citizenship. After the abrogation of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, singer Adnan Sami was heavily bullied on social media. He then responded saying Pakistanis are "frustrated with their own lives". Earlier this month, Sami’s son Azaan Sami Khan made headlines when he said he loves his father but his home will always be Pakistan, even though he spent most of his teenage years in India. Known for delivering hits like Kabhi to Nazar Milao and Lift Karaa De in India, Sami holds a career trajectory of over two decades. The singer was married to Zeba Bakhtiar, with whom he has Azaan.
