Cross border tensions are high as post Pulwama Attacks and Balakot strikes, Indian Airforce Wing Commander Abhinandan was captured by Pakistani forces yesterday. Post the capture, Bollywood stars have been tweeting for Wing Commander Abhinandan’s safe return.
According to a report by Huffington Post India, Indian Motion Pictures’ Producers’ Association (IMMPA) has been flooded with requests. The titles that have come to them for registration are:
1. Pulwama: The Surgical Strike
2. War Room
3. Hindustan Hamara Hai
4. Pulwama Terror Attack
5. The Attacks of Pulwama
6. With Love, from India
7. ATS – One Man Show.
According to this Huffington Post India report, most of the titles have been applied by Abundantia and T-Series. To register a title, you need 250 rupees along with 18% GST and your title is registered. You can later sell this title to anyone who has the capital to sell it.
This year has also seen many films with a patriotic bent such as Uri: The Surgical Strike, The Accidental Primte Minister, Manikarnika and the upcoming film Kesari starring Akshay Kumar.
Pulwama Attacks happened on the February 14th when a van laden with explosives rammed into a CRPF convoy. Indian Air Force later attacked Balakot in Pakistan and Pakistan shot down two Indian airplanes, one of which was run by Wing Commander Abhinandan. Wing Commander Abhinandan was in Pakistan custody. The Pakistani government announced that the pilot would be released soon. Bollywood celebrities have expressed thanks and Pakistani celebrities have also taken to social media to appreciate the pilot’s return.
