Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan is making her debut as a director with the adaptation of a Greek tragedy play, Euripides' Medea. Ira has now shared the entire cast of her theatrical production, which inclues her brother Junaid Khan, Varun Patel of The Idiot, Sabreen Baker of Budhia Singh: Born to Run, Nupura Bhaskar, Rohini Rema and Divyesh Vijayakar, among others. Sharing a video on her official Instagram page, Ira wrote, “You met Medea, now meet the rest of our cast!” Ira has however not revealed which characters the other actors will be playing.

The 22-year old had earlier announced the casting of actress Hazel Keech as the protagonist Medea, sharing a picture on Instagram with an interesting caption, "She said yes! It's amazing to get to work with you, as a friend but more importantly as an actor, Hazel Keech. I can't wait to see what we make." The Bodyguard actress, while  speaking to an entertainment portal about working with Ira, said she “understands the complexities of the characters and the dynamics between them” and brings “freshness and a different perspective to a complex play.”

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan has previously shared his thoughts on Junaid’s acting career. Speaking to the media in March, he said it would be his son’s decision and he could choose his own path as “he is very bright.” He also shared that Junaid had studied theatre, was “inclined to the creative side” and preferred the stage over films but also has an interest in filmmaking. The 25-year old served as an assistant director on Rajkumar Hirani’s 2014 hit film PK, starring Aamir Khan. He has also acted in a TV series documentary Masterminds and a short film To Remember Me By
