Star kids seem to be the talk of the town recently with many making their debut in Bollywood. Recently, the likes of Jahnvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Panday and several others have ventured into the world of films, making their presence known. Ever since, they’ve managed to make headlines for one reason or the other. But one star kid who is the daughter of one of the biggest stars of Bollywood has also entered the world of cinema, however, instead of being on-screen, she’s behind the camera.
Aamir Khan’s daughter, Ira is making her directorial debut with a theatre play. However, unlike other star kids, she does not feel too pressurized. In a recent interview, the budding artist said, “I feel our parents handled us well as children. So, I don't feel a lot of pressure. I am aware of what it means, but I don't feel pressured by it. I spent most of my life away from it. Now, since I got older it has increased and since the time I decided to make my social media account public, it has increased. I have normalized myself to it. It is a part of my life. It doesn't bother me and I am just aware of it.”
Ira was born to Aamir and his first wife, Reena Dutta – with whom he also shares a son named Junaid Khan. He will be starring in his sister’s play called Euripides' Medea. Speaking of why she ventured into direction, Ira shared, “I want to do lots of things in my life. I want to direct more plays and direct other things. I have finished school but I fully intend to keep learning things. I have a bunch of projects for which I have said yes, and I keep remembering that I can do this much only. So, there are so many things and I will let you know when I have figured that out.”
