Recently, it was reported that a huge fight had broken out on the sets of Padmavati, a film that has seen its fair share of controversies from day one. According to a report in entertainment website, Spotboye, the shoot at Film City, Mumbai, came to a grinding halt after two people from Ranveer Singh’s entourage - his driver and manager - broke out into a heated argument. Apparently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film's director himself had to eventually step in to resolve the issue.
As per a source who, the report said, witnessed the whole scuffle, the fight broke out after Sooraj Pal (Ranveer’s driver), approached Ranveer’s manager to demand that he be given his salary. He claimed that he had not been paid for two months and his payment amounted to quite a large sum. The fight then allegedly escalated when the manager was in no mood to listen, and summoned in the bodyguard (Vinayak), to handle to situation. The scene quickly took a turn for the worse after the bodyguard decided to beat up the driver, who was later sacked from his job. According to reports, the driver was promised that he would receive his salary within a day - but that didn’t happen either.
Well, as it is becoming increasingly common these days in the media, the story is fake, as clarified by Ranveer Singh's team. A statement issued by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's spokesperson said: "This report is ridiculous. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not even aware that something like this happened." Ranveer himself has been busy with promoting the film.
Hope that ends this little controversy right here!
