There are Bollywood actors who left us quite young. They left when their careers were just taking off. Here are five people who died even before we got to know them properly. 

Divya Bharti

She was just 19 years at the time of her death. Divya holds a record of working in 14 movies in just one year of her working. She accidentally slipped from the balcony of her apartment.

Smita Patil

Smita Patil died when she was just 31 years old and at the peak of her career. She died due to complications resulting out childbirth after a wound turned septic. It was alleged that there was medical negligence in her case.


Madhubala was a legendary beauty. She died soon after her 36th birthday but the legend of her beauty and her tumultuous lives  and love affairs still lives on. She had a rare heart condition which was deemed untreatable during those days.

Guru Dutt

On 10 October 1964, Guru Dutt was found dead in his rented apartment. He was 39 years old at that time. He committed suicide by mixing alcohol and sleeping pills.

An Indian film actress and producer Soundarya, a popular name in Southern cinema who played Amitabh Bachchan’s love interest in the 1999 Hindi movie “Sooryavansham”. Soundarya died in an aircraft crash near Bangalore on 17 April 2004. Her Bollywood career was just taking off and she was poised to act in many movies.
