As we at Masala! gear up to welcome some of our favorite celebrities at the 3rd HUM Awards to be held in Dubai, we couldn't help but share this amazing bit of good news that we just came across. Our very own Ahlan!Gourmet editor, Jasmine Bandali is also an actress and has acted in a short film called Thoda Sa Waqt. The film has been submitted for Best Film in the short film category.
The relatonship drama directed by Farhan Abbas chronicles the life of a couple trying to bring back the warmth into their marital life. In the submitted video, Farhan elaborates upon the sense of insecurity and lack of intimacy that plagues modern relationships. He emphasizes the need for modern couples to constantly nurture their bond and this short film is his attempt to portray how a complex relationship like this can be transformed into a healthier and happier one if we can keep an open mind and focus on addressing the issues that jeopardize it.
This film appears like an honest attempt and I am sure that the entire team is rooting for it to win at the prestigious awards night on the 9th of April. Stay tuned for more updates on the stars in town and the big HUM awards night itself.
