If getting around the Palm Jumeirah wasn’t already so convenient, it has gotten even easier now, all thanks to the new station added to Palm’s existing monorail route.
Nakheel has just added a new station stop, called Al Ittihad Park, to the existing monorail line, allowing tourists and residents easy access to the Palm Jumeirah’s central park. The stop will be located at the heart of Al Ittihad Park, in close proximity to the Golden Mile Galleria, which is a popular shopping destination in that area. With this new addition, the monorail now has three stops, Atlantis Aquaventure, Gateway and now Al Ittihad Park Station. In case you weren’t aware, the trains run every 11 minutes, between 9am-10pm, daily.
Commenting on the new development, Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah said, “The Palm Monorail is one of Palm Jumeirah’s biggest success stories. The opening of Al Ittihad Park Station is a massive boost for the island’s investors, residents, visitors and retailers, and further cements our commitment to providing new services and attractions at this world-famous community.”
This is great news for people wanting to get around the area quickly, without having to be stuck in road traffic!
Besides this new monorail stop, there’s so much more to look forward to in Palm Jumeirah! The development of two entertainment and dining destinations, Nakheel Mall and The Pointe are in progress, and these will have their own monorail stops too! How convenient is that? Now, we have even more reason to spend time at the beautiful destination!
