Mallika Sherawat and her boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans have been thrown out of their Paris apartment over non-payment of dues. Sources say that she and her boyfriend have moved out of the apartment as well. Mallika denied on Twitter saying that he doesn't own a Paris apartment carefully skirting the question whether the apartment was rented and the rent was being paid by her boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans.
A case has been filed in a Paris court over non-payment of dues. The couple's lawyer has submitted to the court that the couple is going to through financial difficulties and hence cannot pay the rent right now. The actor reportedly hasn't paid the rent for her Paris apartment since the last two months, and is now being evicted from the house that she shares with her French boyfriend Cyrille Auxenfans.
According to a BBC report, the couple owe their landlord 80,000 euros (Rs 64 lakh) in rent for their apartment, where Mallika and Cyrille were allegedly attacked and robbed last year. The couple's lawyer has however said that the unpaid rent is Mallika and Cyrille's way of "showing their annoyance" regarding the robbery, and that they would pay their arrears once the dispute with their landlord is resolved.
However, the lawyer also told a court that the couple is in "temporary financial difficulties". The court will rule on the dispute soon. What adds to the drama is Mallika's tweet claiming that contrary to reports, she doesn't have (own or rent) an apartment in Paris at all. She also denied having a boyfriend in a tweet later.
The pictures below however don't lie.
