Deepika Padukone is generally known to keep her cool through things that happen around her, but this time she decided to speak up. The matter in concern was the breath-taking work of an artist who did a rangoli depicting the actress in her upcoming film, Padmavati.
Karan K, the artist was from Surat, Gujrat, which is where the vandalism took place. His work was destroyed by a group of 100 people shouting ‘Jai Shree Ram’. The piece of art reportedly took 48 hours to create, and was destroyed in a second, leaving the artist and Deepika heart broken. Terribly angry with what happened, Deepika took to Twitter to express her disappointment, asking I&B Minister, Smriti Irani to intervene. Here are her tweets:
