The controversy surrounding Sridevi's death is refusing to die down with the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) being questioned on it now.

According to the forensic report by Dubai authorities, the 54-year-old actress died of accidental drowning in her hotel room's bathtub after suffering a dizzying spell. For the first time, the MEA informed that there's no foul play in the death of Sridevi and that Dubai authorities had done a thorough probe in the matter. The Indian MEA officials confirmed that there's nothing to question the Dubai probe which happened with due diligence.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, "As far as I know, the paperwork from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government had been were handed over to us and on the basis of that the mortal remains were brought to India. Had there been something suspicious, it would have come out by now."
