Cricket fans and in particular Yuvraj Singh’s fans woke up to some very disturbing news this morning. The cricketer is reportedly booked for domestic violence by his sister-n-law, Akanksha Sharma.

Akanksha, who is an ex-Big Boss 10 contestant, has slapped the cricketer, his brother Zoravar and his mother, Shabnam with a legal notice, citing domestic violence and harassment. According to reports on Spotboye, the first court hearing is going to be held on the 21st of October, after which she plans to come out in the open and speak about the feud in more detail.

However, when her lawyer was asked about Yuvraj’s involvement in the case, she said, “Look, domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. He was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother." She went on to add, “When Yuvraj and Zoravar's mother was pressurising Akanksha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told her 'to have a baby'. He was hand-in-glove with his mother.” Akanksha’s lawyer continued talking about how Yuvraj would tell her that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house.

When Spotboye questioned Akanksha’s lawyer about the magnitude of the violence, she said, “My client wasn’t hit black and blue but she was definitely slapped and pushed. There was domestic violence on emotional and financial grounds too. Let me elaborate. Akanksha was asked to get up at 5 am and make tea, when there were 3 cooks in that house.”

We bet Yuvraj Singh didn’t see this one coming. Watch this space for updates on this case.
