Just yesterday, we reported news of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming film, Baadshaho being in legal trouble owing to the rights of a song in the film. The song in question is the classic, Keh Du Tumhe, which was sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle, and which has been remixed and put into the film.
The producers of the original film (which the song was a part of), Deewar, filed a case against the producers of Baadshaho, claiming the breach of copyrights over its music and lyrics. The remixed song from Baadhsaho had been well accepted by audiences, who loved the sizzling chemistry between Emraan Hasmi and Esha Gupta, and also appreciated the fact that the song had not tempered with the classic to much.
Much to the disappoint of all the fans, in a judgment passed by the Mumbai High Court yesterday, Rajiv Rai (owner of Trimurti films who had the rights of the original song) won the case against Bhushan Kumar's music company Super Cassettes Industries. According to the verdict, Baadshaho makers cannot use the song at all on any medium.
We guess, you’ll just have to make do with the original song for now! Here it is:
