Benkay is the hot new Japanese restaurant at the Hotel Jal Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. And it's the amazing venue hosting the Hot 100 Restaurants party 2011 that'll be attended by the crme de la crme of Dubai society! on May 3. Here's a sneak peek into the superb ambience and food at Benkay right here, right now!
Dubai boasts of several Japanese restaurants but one always welcomes the addition of a new name to the list. The latest one to wow our taste buds is Benkay at Hotel Jal Tower.
First impressions first – Benkay will certainly win you over the moment you step in. Offering guests a scenic view of Sheikh Zayed Road, the location and dcor are perfect for both a relaxing time at lunch or dinner with your friends and family, or a business meeting with your clients and colleagues. Perched on the 49th, 50th and 51st floor of the hotel, Benkay offers refined minimalist- themed interiors. The clean lines and the warm and cosy ambience that the entire space exudes aptly takes visitors on a true Japanese culinary journey.
And the menu offers everything that fans of the cuisine look out for – mouth-watering, soft and delicious sushis and teppan grills. What is most admirable about the restaurant is that despite the trendy look, the menu is very authentic and traditional.
The first floor has the authentic a la carte where the grill peas tataki salad and deep fried prawns take pride of place. Another must-eat is the grill cod with saikyo miso. The teppanyaki is on the second floor while the third has the sushi bar and lounge. Don't forget to dig into the desserts, especially the mochi ice-cream, a yummy traditional Japanese sweetmeat. It's absolutely sinful!
