True to its name, each of the items on the menu at this eatery is a delight to savour, especially if you are a fan of tikkas, kebabs and grilled meat the way we are. Top on the list of our favourites is the superb fish tikka. The chunks of hamour, marinated with red chillies, garlic, ginger and coriander seeds and barbecued gently until crisp, simply melt in your mouth.
For the mains, we chose the Afghani mutton tikka. The meat is tender and the onion, ginger and garlic seasoning sets your tastebuds on fire; when enjoyed with soft, buttery garlic naan, it leads you straight to gastronomic heaven! Also try the Afghani chicken boti – diced chicken marinated in onion and ginger and served with plum sauce and gherkins. The vegetarian touch is needed for a heavy meat-dominated meal like this and our recommendation is the simple, ever-popular aloo jeera. Finally, cool down with the yummy, thick, pistachio-packed kulfi. A royal meal deserves an equally royal dessert!
