Sonakshi Sinha, who's made no secret of her admiration for Ranveer Singh (even if she hasn't commented on the link-up and break-up rumours that followed), is teaming up with the actor in 'Udaan' director Vikramaditya Motwane's quirky, unconventional love story.
The film will be collectively produced by Motwane, his mentor Anurag Kashyap, 'Ghajini' producer Madhu Mantena and former UTV executive Vikas Behl who are coming together under the Phantom banner.
Phantom has pulled off a casting coup by getting the over-committed Sonakshi together with the under-committed Ranveer for the movie.
When contacted, Mantena confirmed the casting of Ranveer and Sonakshi for Motwane's film.
Apparently, Sonakshi has the most packed date diary in Bollywood these days. According to a source, she doesn't have a single date to spare until the end of 2012.
And yet, Sonakshi was so keen to work with Ranveer that she made an all-out effort to accommodate Motwane's film.
The source added that Sonakshi is committed to shooting for new films from now till the end of 2012. In fact, so clogged was her date diary that she almost opted out of the Ajay Devgn starrer 'Son Of Sardar'.
"Sonakshi just couldn't seem to fit all of it in. She was on the verge of opting out of 'Son Of Sardar'. But somehow managed to squeeze it in. After Sonakshi completes 'Joker' with Akshay Kumar, she goes straight into Sajid Nadiadwala's film with Shahid Kapoor, followed by 'Son Of Sadar', 'Dabangg 2' and Sajid Naidawala's 'Kick'," said the source.
Sonakshi made a frantic effort to accommodate Motwane's film. The source said: "Sonakshi was keen to work with Ranveer for a year now, and so was he. And besides which actress would want to say no to the director of 'Udaan'?"
