The special team from the Mumbai police barged into Salman Khan’s set and requested him to pack up and leave immediately. Salman Khan was escorted back home safely in a police vehicle, while his car and driver followed.
What happened before is spine chilling.
The Mumbai police got an input from the ATS (or the Anti-Terrorism Squad) that an armed gang of sharpshooters are on their way to Salman Khan's film set in Mumbai to kill him and they are preparing for a shootout. Salman was shooting for the upcoming thriller Race3 at Film City when several policemen arrived with information that a gang was on its way to the sets.
Salman Khan then left for his home in Bandra, escorted by the police. The actor received death threats from a gangster based in Rajasthan, his father Salim Khan confirmed yesterday. The gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, had announced last week that the actor "would be killed in Jodhpur". The threat has been linked to the 1998 black buck hunting case in which the actor and his co-stars are accused. The case was filed by the Bishnoi community, which worships deer and is passionately protective about the animals.
The Mumbai police has thrown an additional round of security around Salman Khan. We hope the actor stays safe!
