Review: Hub Zero at City Walk

Immersive gaming at its best
Review: Hub Zero at City Walk

There are very few activities in Dubai that I don’t mind trying time and over again, and Hub Zero is definitely one of them. The unique indoor gaming park, is intriguing as a concept and super enjoyable in reality- or should I say, virtual reality!

The 15,000sqm gaming theme park, located at City Walk, will change how you perceive and experience video games, forever! Not being much of a gaming person myself, I wasn’t sure of what to expect but was pleasantly surprised with the activities- that were both fun and easy to understand (which is usually not the case with many virtual reality games). Most of the in-park experiences are inspired from popular video games and are either enjoyed in virtual reality or using 4-D cinematic technology. A personal favourite was the Virtual Arena, which involved shooting zombies that came our way!

To get in a little thrilling activity, try out the Hero Vertical Adventure Zone, where you can enjoy a host of physically challenging activities such as, wall climbing, stairway to heaven, leap of faith and the high rope course! This isn’t an activity for the faint hearted, but a must-try never the less!
All in all, Hub Zero is a great experience if you have a flair for gaming and enjoy challenging activity.  If all the adventure takes a toll on you, step out for a refreshing ‘frozen hot chocolate’, at Serendipity, next door (City Walk), and you’ll be more than energized to head back for more!
