Public Transport Users Stand to Win Dhs 50,000 by Participating in Exciting Competitions

Do you use the public transportation in Dubai? If your answer was ‘yes’, then you’re in for a huge surprise. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), known to make the lives of residents as convenient as can be, recently made an announcement that is sure to excite users of the public transportation system.

The RTA has planned some amazing competitions that are open to all public transportation users for participation. The competitions are to mark Public Transport Day on November 1 and is in collaboration with Dubai Fitness Challenge.

In total, there are 3 competitions to participate in, with the highest prize set at Dhs 50,000. Here's everything you need to know:

1) Riding the public transportation using your NOL card from 23 October to 1 November

The two most frequent users who collect the maximum number of points, will be declared the winners and each will receive AED 50,000. Amazing isn’t it? We told you!

2) A public transport race on November 1

It’s race time! Teams will have to use the metro, tram, public bus, and marine transport stations stopping for exercises throughout, while collecting stamps as they proceed to finish line. The first prize for this race is Dhs 50,000, the second is Dhs 30,000 and the third will get Dhs 15,000, per team.

3) Golden Runner competition between October 23 and November 1

This one’s an interesting one! According to Moaza Al Marri, Director of RTA’s Marketing and Corporate Communication, “Participants have to follow the social networking sites to locate the Golden Runner who will visit three RTA stations daily. Winners will receive wearable e-prizes (Fitbits) as well as Apple watches and iPhone 8" Wow!
