What has influenced your designs and ideas for Chic Therapy?
My idea was to create a perfect blend of fusion handcrafted designer jewellery for the contemporary modern women of today.
You use a lot of natural stones in your jewellery. What about these pieces?
I am very fascinated with the world of natural stones due to their depth, natural colours, shapes and sizes which add the perfect spark to my designs
How did your journey as a jewellery designer begin?
I actually started my career by designing handcrafted clutches and bags then shifted to clothing that included hand work and embroidery. However, somehow I was always fascinated and more inclined towards the intricacy of jewellery and wanted to design a line of handcrafted jewellery and create a designer brand that featured special designs made in India.
What kind of audience does your jewellery cater to?
For the modern contemporary women of today who loves to make a style statement.
What makes your collections unique in the industry?
My designing elements – the use of natural stones that are of the best quality, the workmanship, plating and polishing and blending of the stones with the metal. Also, my bold use of colours for my pieces.
What are your plans with Chic Therapy after your latest collection?
For the next season I will come up with a range that mirrors the current trends, colours etc. I want to expand my reach by adding more point of sales in India and globally, and focus on online expansion as well.
What are upcoming trends you foresee in the jewellery design industry?
There will be alot of fitted chokers with very minimal use of numerous elements in one piece. There will be more rose gold pieces and bracelets.
