Two days ago (16th September), a major fire broke out at the iconic RK Films and Studios in Chembur, Mumabi. The studio was founded by Raj Kapoor in 1948, and the first film produced there was ironically named, Aag (fire). Reports state that the fire broke out on the sets of the television show, Super Dancers which is aired on Sony TV. A source from the set said, "No one was present on the set while the studio caught fire. There is no casualty or injuries reported. Cost of damage is yet to be ascertained."

Chief fire officer P Rahangdale said to Times Of India, that the fire began at the decorative equipment in the studio. Here is a picture of the incident, taken by TOI:
