The Grand Hall with its stunning lanterns

This is a hotel that surprises you at every turn. A wonderful mix of the traditional and the contemporary, the Mvenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate, Dubai has everything a modern traveller looks for – state-of-the-art amenities, plush interiors, fab restaurants and an international vibe. It may be tucked away in a corner of Dubai, off Jebel Ali but when it comes to facilities and luxury, it is second to none. And that's just one of the reasons why you should discover this superb hotel in the Discovery Gardens area!

The Interiors Mvenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate is an ode to the Arabian lifestyle and architecture. What seize your attention first as you enter the Al Bahou – the Grand Hall and lobby area – are the 88 Arabic lanterns hanging down from the 50 mt high ceiling. True to its name, every corner of the hotel has incorporated some bits of the famed 14th century adventurer Ibn Battuta's journeys. For instance, the lamps are inspired by his Chinese sojourn. Similarly, the elevators have little maps representing each of his destinations around the world.
