Indo-Pak musical confluence in Dubai

Music knows no boundaries – this adage has been proven true time and again. And multi-cultural Dubai has often provided the platform for great musical minds to come together on one stage and weave magic.

This Friday, three maestros will come together for a fabulous concert that is sure to leave an imprint on the audience's mind. Kailash Kher, Ali Azmat and Shafaqat Amanat Ali Khan will come together for 'Harmony of Beats' a show that is truly a melting pot of talent from India and Pakistan. Sufi music at its best can also be another way to describe it.

Kailash Kher needs no introduction. An Indian pop-rock singer with a music style influenced by Indian folk music, Kailash has sung in 18 languages for regional films, and has over 300 masterpieces for Bollywood, to his credit. He shot to fame with 'Allah ke Bande' way back in the late 90s and is still churning out hit after hit in film as well as non-film albums.

Ali Azmat is a Pakistani musician who gained recognition as the lead vocalist of the pop/rock band Junoon. With Junoon, he toured all over the world and finally left the band to have a solo career.

Shafaqat Amanat Ali Khan is a Pakistani classical singer. He was the lead vocalist of the Pakistani rock band Fuzn. 'Aankhon Ke Saagar', 'Khamaj', 'Ankhiyan' and 'Mitwa' are some of his most popular works which are huge demand at every concert he makes an appearance at. After leaving the band Fuzon in 2006, Shafqat concentrated on his solo career.

Together, the trio is all set to rock Dubai this Friday, February 8, 2013. The event has been put together by Ccreans Communications and will be held at World Trade Centre from 7pm onwards.
