A much awaited film that’ll release on September 28th later this year, is the Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer, Sui Dhaaga - Made in India. Highlighting the reality and struggle in India, Varun and Anushka play the characters Mauji and Mamta, bringing to screen the simplicity and realness of living in India. Both the stars will be seeing riding the cycle for extensive periods of time, since its considered the main mode of commuting throughout the film. Now, one can only imagine how difficult that might have been. It is said that in various scenes, Anushka rode pillion as Varun cycled for close to 10 hours in the sweltering heat at Chanderi.
“The makers are keeping everything real in the film. From the look of the characters, to the costumes, to elements that resonate the milieu of the heartland of India - everything is relatable and real. This is extremely important for the makers as they want to pull the audiences into the world of the film,” says a source close to the project.
One look as the picture released from a scene in the film and you’ll be able to see how authentic Varun and Anushka look in their characters. The heart-warming film is essentially about finding love and respect through self-reliance, and is hugely inspired by the acclaimed Make in India campaign. While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film.
Doesn’t this sound like an interesting project?
